Winter Carnival

Prior to our trip, Amelia said she wanted to go the amusement park in London. I told her they didn’t have one. When we got to our hotel room, she ran to the window and exclaimed, “I want to go to the fair!” Thinking she spotted the London Eye which we could see from our view, I told her that yes, we could go to the London Eye. Then I saw illuminated in Hyde Park, the Winter Wonderland Fair.

It was utterly charming. Holiday themed with heavy German overtones, we had a blast. There is something completely enchanting about going to a fair in the wintertime. I walked around with a big giddy grin on my face the entire night.

No small, cheap prizes at the games tent. A plethora of larger scaled, quality plush reindeers, Santas, and snowmen awaited us. Grandpa had his heart set on winning a toy for Amelia, thus winning himself a kiss.

It was a magical night.

Great photos, Rachel!! Lovely story…
That purple Santa is kind of freaking me out.
Did Amelia tell you that I made a little movie of her as well? It is too big to post but we’ll have to swap files in a few weeks.
That last photo says it all….
Gorgeous photos, Rachel. Truly magical, like I was there. Thanks!! (and Happy Holidays to you!)
