More Camera Fun

I’m so enjoying my camera now that I have my new lens. I’m like a kid on Christmas. The weekend was busy with birthday parties on both days. I got out Saturday morning while the kids were occupied to take a few pictures of the remaining Day Lilies. The picture shot above was shot at f2.2 and 1/640th.

Today we celebrated my nephew’s fourth birthday and went out to lunch. It had such a pretty container garden in the front entry.

Anyone know the name of this flower? I love it!

Nice photos rachel!
You obviously have been doing good withe camera, I just had one recently and havent got the time to play with it. Great shots!!
And we get the fruits of you being a kid at Christmas - great photos! The flower in your last photo is a Cleome or Spider Flower - my mom used to have loads of ‘em.
Beautiful photos, Rachel. Yep, that’s cleome. Strange, isn’t it?
Looks great–you’re getting really good at the focus!
That flower is called a cleome. Oh, and I just looked above and Marnie already said so.
Plant Cleome once and they grow rampant. They are so beautiful and spidery they are well worth trying to tame them!! Beautiful pictures!!!
I’m so bummed because my cleome didn’t come back this year- totally smothered by other crazy plants… and usually they are so vigorous, too! My neighbor’s got tons of them.
Love the clarity of your photos. Yes, a good camera and a good lens can really make things shine.
